In 2017, we created Amen to Action, an annual Black Friday event with a goal: to bring together Pittsburgh’s faith community to sing, pray, and pack one million meals for the hungry. We beat our goal in 2017, setting a record for packing the most meals in one location, and broke our record in 2018.

It’s a real celebration of community and commitment, and it got us thinking. What if we could create something that would let us experience the joy and sense of accomplishment from helping people more often?

Presenting the Amen to Action Million Hours Volunteer Challenge.

All you have to do is pledge whatever time you can to a cause you’re passionate about—and nominate three of your friends to do the same. Details and instructions follow.

Come join in.

As we learned the day after Thanksgiving, together, we can do so much good.

Together we can change the world.
